The game between the Alliston Hornets and the Orillia Terriers was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Alliston emerged with a 4-3 win. Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Joe Cochrane's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker. Nic Archibald had two goals to lead the Hornets to victory. Archibald scored short handed at 19:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Alliston and again while 10:42 into the second to make the score 3-2 Alliston. Orillia was unable to stop Alliston from sending pucks towards the net, and the Hornets eventually piled up 39 shots on goal. Alliston also got a goal from Ryan Marks as well. More assists for Alliston came via Jamie Bennett, Tanner Dockerty, Dakota Brooks, and Matt Hamilton, who contributed one a piece. The Terriers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Orillia's offense rang up 38 shots on Alliston's net. The Terriers were helped by Daniel Lee, who grabbed one goal. Lee scored 19:27 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Jake Shaw provided the assist. Others who scored for Orillia included Zac Hele and Marty Lawlor, who scored one goal each. In addition, Orillia received assists from Ryan Tucci, Andrew Denne (APM, Tyler Mason, and Josh Allan, who each chipped in one. Connor Ryckman rejected 35 shots on goal for the Hornets. Alliston incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Gordie Weiss recorded 35 saves for Orillia. The Terriers incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
