Stayner falls to Penetang in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Ryan Young gave the Penetang Kings a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Stayner Siskins when he scored 49 seconds into the extra period.

Myles York had a great game for Penetang, netting two goals. York found the back of the net 18:55 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 7:22 into the second to make the score 2-2.

Stayner was unable to stop the Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Penetang eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.

Penetang additionally got points from Young, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Brayden Laurin also scored for Penetang. More assists for Penetang came via Hayden Cole, Jack Scanlan, Kyle Burns, Matt Meher, Ty Trayner, and Michael Paul, who contributed one a piece.

The Siskins were helped by Brandon Watson, who registered one goal. Watson scored short handed 26 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stayner. Dakota Hynes assisted on the tally. Stayner also had goals scored by Quinton Bruce and Ryan Hudson, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Stayner were Sean Healy, Corey DeRose, Zachery Hannon, and Ricky Darrell, who each chipped in one.

Adam Redgate rejected 19 shots on goal for the Kings. Penetang incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Aaron Taylor recorded 34 saves for Stayner. The Siskins incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
