Nic Archibald gave the Alliston Hornets a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Schomberg Cougars when he scored 43 seconds into the extra period. Alliston came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Hornets trailed 2-0 after a goal by Schomberg's Mitch Safaric at 13:30 in the first period. Alliston knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Jamie Bennett at 6:10 in the third period. Bennett had two goals to lead the Hornets to victory. Alliston was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 23.0 minutes per game the Hornets had been spending in the box. Alliston's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Schomberg power plays.
