The Alliston Hornets tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Stayner Siskins would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 3-2.

A goal by Steve Griggs put Stayner up 3-0 in the first period, but Alliston pulled to within one on Jamie Bennett's tally 6:48 into the third period.

The Siskins were helped by Jeff Hamm, who finished with one goal. Hamm scored 11:50 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Stayner. Ricky Darrell provided the assist. Ryan Hudson also scored for Stayner. In addition, Stayner received assists from Jesse Anderson and Dakota Hynes, who each chipped in one.

The Hornets were led by Jacob Tuck, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Tuck scored 5:57 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Stayner. David Leblanc picked up the assist. Other players who recorded assists for Alliston were Nic Archibald, who had one.

Aaron Taylor rejected 24 shots on goal for Stayner. The Siskins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Alliston's starting goalie, Connor Ryckman, made two saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Tyler Brindle, who stopped 11 shots. The Hornets incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
