Christian Muenz was all over the ice for the Schomberg Cougars, as he tallied four goals and three assists in Schomberg's 10-0 win over the Midland Flyers. Muenz got on the scoresheet 1:23 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:34 into the first, at 3:29 into the second, and at 5:53 into the second.The Cougars made Midland's goalies to work all game long, totaling 54 shots and forcing 44 saves. Marco Colangelo made 18 stops and Andrew Best made 26. Schomberg's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Midland power plays. The Cougars was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Schomberg averages 3.0 goals allowed per game. The Cougars outdid their season average for goals scored. Schomberg averages 4.9 goals per game. Schomberg also got points from Brandon Falsarella, who also finished with one goal and one assist, John Gage, who also registered one goal and six assists to lead the team in points, and Blake Culley, who also grabbed two goals and four assists. Declan Lampe also scored for Schomberg. In addition, Schomberg received assists from Mike Barosso, who had two and JP Crescenzi, Ryley Egerton, and Bobby Quinn, who each chipped in one. The Flyers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Midland averages 2.3 goals per game. The Flyers' penalty kill was ineffective, and let in three goals to the Cougars' power play unit. Taylor Ewart rejected 19 shots on goal for Schomberg. The Cougars incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Midland incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
