Fischer nets hat trick, leads Penetang to 6-2 win over HuntsvilleCanada Summit Centre Sun, Oct 13, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Matt Fischer netted a hat trick to lead the Penetang Kings over the Huntsville Otters, 6-2. Fischer's first goal came 7:01 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:24 into the first and at 11:11 into the third.Penetang stifled Huntsville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Kings' offense rang up 41 shots on the Otters' net. Nate Archer also scored for Penetang. Other players who recorded assists for Penetang were Mackenzie Bumstead, Brayden Laurin, Craig Robinson, and Matt VanBoven APM, who each chipped in one and Hayden Cole and Jack Scanlan, who contributed two a piece. Huntsville was helped by Trayvon Henry, who racked up one goal. Henry scored 10:58 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Penetang. Noah Stevens provided the assist. Huntsville also got a goal from Brock Heshka as well. More assists for Huntsville came via Jason Morissette, who had one. Martin Lauzon recorded 15 saves for Penetang. The Kings incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Otters' TJ Sherwood stopped 35 shots out of the 41 that he faced. Huntsville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
