Jeff Hamm had one goal and two assists to lead the Stayner Siskins to a 7-1 victory over the Huntsville Otters. Hamm got on the board by slotting home a power play goal 7:41 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Stayner. Stayner earned a power play opportunity when Shawn Fraser was put in the box for roughing. Dakota Hynes picked up the assist. Hamm dished an assist on Quinton Bruce's goal that made the score 4-1 Stayner at 9:35 into the third period. He added another helper on Mac Flewelling's goal that made the score 7-1 Stayner at 19:54 into the third period.Huntsville fell victim to a deadly the Siskins power play, which ripped the Otters for four goals. Stayner's offense rang up 52 shots on Huntsville's net. The Siskins outdid their season average for goals scored. Stayner has scored at the pace of 4.6 goals per game during the current campaign. The Siskins' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Stayner finished with 30 penalty minutes. Stayner also got points from Ricky Darrell, who also tallied one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Derick Robertson, who also had one goal and two assists. Kyle Lafreniere also scored for Stayner. More assists for Stayner came via Brett Gauthier, who had one and Brandon Watson, who had two. The Otters could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 40 minutes in penalties during the game. Huntsville was led by Jake McIntyre, who scored the team's only goal. McIntyre scored on the power play 9:00 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Stayner. A kneeing penalty on Robertson had put the Otters on the power play. Ryan Perry assisted on the tally. Jay Payton recorded 24 saves for the Siskins. Stayner ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jackson Clarke was ejected from the game. TJ Sherwood made 45 saves for Huntsville on 52 shots. The Otters registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. For Huntsville, Marco Luciani was ejected from the game.
