Nepean downs Pembroke in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Kenneth Neil gave the Nepean Raiders a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Pembroke Lumber Kings when he scored 19:30 into the extra period.

The win by Nepean clinched the best of seven series at 4-0.

The Raiders were led by goalie Matt Zawadzki, who finished with 31 saves while allowing one goal.

Nepean was led by Neil, who tallied one goal.

The Raiders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Nepean forced Pembroke goalie Darren Smith to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

Nepean also got a goal from Cameron Yarwood as well. Other players who recorded assists for Nepean were Cory Durocher and Dalen Hedges, who each chipped in one.

The Lumber Kings' offense rang up 32 shots on the Raiders' net.

Pembroke was led by Ben Dalpe, who scored the team's only goal. Dalpe scored 13:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pembroke. Stephen Hrehoriak provided the assist.

Nepean incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Smith recorded 47 saves for the Lumber Kings. Pembroke incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
