The Cornwall Colts' Brandon Howes scored 5:15 into overtime to beat the Brockville Braves, 3-2 (OT). After the loss made the series score 3-2 in the best of seven series, Brockville faces elimination next time out. Cornwall was sparked by Howes, who registered one goal. The Colts' offense rang up 32 shots on the Braves' net. Cornwall managed to stay out of the box for the most part, tallying a minimal one major for five minutes in penalty time. Cornwall also got points from Michael Pontarelli, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Mitch Zion, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Stephen Johnson, who had two and Pietro Antonelli and Marly Quince, who contributed one a piece. Brockville was led by Ryan Walter, who had one goal and one assist. Walter scored 8:00 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Brockville. Nathan Todd assisted on the tally. Brockville also got a goal from Chris Roll as well. More assists for Brockville came via Ben Blasko, who had one. The Colts' Jordan Piccolino stopped 24 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Cornwall registered one goal on six power play opportunities. The Colts ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jake Martin was ejected from the game. Andrew Pikul made 29 saves for the Braves on 32 shots. Brockville totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play. For the Braves, Todd was ejected from the game.
