Alex Globke racked up one point to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 4-1 victory over the Smiths Falls Bears.

The win gave Carleton Place a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

The Canadians excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Carleton Place also got points from Jackson Howe, who also registered one goal and one assist, Luke Kasteel, who also had one goal and one assist, and Evan Peterson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Larry Smith, who had one and Stephen Bayliss, who had two.

Smiths Falls was led by Michael Buonincontri, who scored the team's only goal. Buonincontri scored 5:35 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Chris Maniccia assisted on the tally.

Brendan Oneill recorded 24 saves for Carleton Place. The Canadians incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Bears' Jimmy Howe stopped 20 shots out of the 24 that he faced. Smiths Falls incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
