Ottawa downs Hawkesbury in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

Ryan Collins gave the Ottawa Senators a 2-1 (OT) victory over the Hawkesbury Hawks when he scored 1:18 into the extra period.

The win gave Ottawa a 2-0 lead in the best of seven series.

Collins had a great game for the Senators, netting two goals.

Hawkesbury was stymied by Ottawa netminder Charlie Millen, who stopped 32 shots during the victory.

The Senators stifled the Hawks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Ottawa kept Hawkesbury's goalie busy throughout the game, and Carmine Guerriero made 38 saves on 40 shots.

More assists for Ottawa came via Ben Robillard, who had one and Greg Jansz, who had two.

The Senators were unable to stop the Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Hawkesbury eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

The Hawks were led by Mac Blanchette, who scored the team's only goal. Blanchette scored 11:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hawkesbury. Brett Varrin assisted on the tally.

Ottawa incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Hawkesbury incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
