Val Pusteria downs Alleghe in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Val Pusteria Lupi's Fredrik Persson scored 14:50 into overtime to beat the Alleghe Civette, 3-2 (OT).

Although Val Pusteria was up by as many as two goals in the second period, Alleghe kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Civette got to within 2-1 on a goal by Joni Haverinen at 4:04 in the third period.

David Ling had two goals to lead the Lupi to victory.

In addition, Val Pusteria received assists from Christian Willeit, who had two and Lukas Crepaz, Armin Hofer, Patrick Bona, and Giulio Scandella, who contributed one a piece.

Alleghe put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Val Pusteria to score on any of its three power plays.

The Civette were helped by Vincent Rocco, who tallied one goal. Rocco scored 5:18 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Markku Tahtinen assisted on the tally. More assists for Alleghe came via Greg Hogeboom and Adam Henrich, who each chipped in one.

Mikko Stromberg made 27 saves for the Lupi on 29 shots. Val Pusteria incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Adam Dennis rejected 48 shots on goal for Alleghe. The Civette incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
