Stromberg stymies Asiago, Val Pusteria wins 2-1Odegar Sat, Mar 10, 2012 The Val Pusteria Lupi relied on the sparkling performance of Mikko Stromberg in net to grab a 2-1 win against Asiago. Val Pusteria pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes. The Lupi were sparked by Nate DiCasmirro, who grabbed one goal. DiCasmirro scored 12:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Val Pusteria. Joe Jensen assisted on the tally. Giulio Scandella also scored for Val Pusteria. Other players who recorded assists for Val Pusteria were Ryan Watson, Joe Cullen, and David Ling, who each chipped in one. Asiago was led by John Vigilante, who scored the team's only goal. Vigilante scored 17:06 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Asiago. Sean Bentivoglio picked up the assist. Mikko Stromberg made 44 saves for Val Pusteria on 45 shots. The Lupi registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Anthony Grieco rejected 32 shots on goal for Asiago. Asiago incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
