Val Pusteria rips Asiago, 7-0Leitner Solar Arena Thu, Mar 08, 2012 The Val Pusteria Lupi had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over Asiago. Giulio Scandella and Ryan Watson provided the spark for Val Pusteria, combining for three goals and four assists. Scandella registered two goals and two assists and Watson also notched one goal and two assists. Val Pusteria also got points from Olivier Magnan, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Joe Cullen, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Lukas Tauber also scored for Val Pusteria. More assists for Val Pusteria came via Christian Mair, who had two, David Ling, who had three, and Armin Hofer, Joe Jensen, and Armin Helfer, who contributed one a piece. Asiago could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game. Mikko Stromberg rejected 22 shots on goal for the Lupi. Val Pusteria incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Jeff Lerg took the loss and made 13 saves before being replaced by Alessandro Tura who made 16 saves. Asiago registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
