Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Stratford Cullitons defeated the Waterloo Siskins in a shootout 5-4 (2-1 SO). The two teams needed eight turns to complete the shootout. Waterloo's shootout goal was scored by Adam Campagnolo. Stratford also got a shootout goal from Ray Huether.The Cullitons saw a three-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. Stratford made the score 4-1 on a goal by Brad McClure at 10:53 in the second period. The Siskins evened things up at 4-4 on a goal by Campagnolo at 8:43 in the third period. McClure was all over the ice for the Cullitons, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. McClure scored the first of his two goals at 57 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stratford. Andrew Barton picked up the assist. McClure's next tally made the score Stratford with 9:07 left in the second period. Nik Knezic provided the assist. Stratford forced Waterloo's netminders to work all game long, totaling 53 shots and forcing 48 saves. Marc Williams made 25 stops and PJ Bridges made 23. Stratford additionally got points from McClure, who also had two goals and one assist and Barton, who also registered one goal and one assist. Stratford got a goal from Trevor Sauder as well. In addition, Stratford received assists from Tyson Avery, Ryan Watson, Pat Clifford, Jared Culliton, and Calvin Thomson, who contributed one each. The Cullitons were unable to stop the Siskins from sending pucks towards the net, and Waterloo eventually piled up 33 shots on goal. Waterloo also got points from Mike Van Ooteghem, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Eric Fischer also scored for Waterloo. More assists for Waterloo came via Connor Voigt, who had one and Kyle Platzer, Sean Fennell, and Evan Buehler, who contributed two each. Taylor Dupuis made 29 saves for Stratford on 33 shots. The Cullitons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Siskins incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
