LaSalle rolls over London, 5-0

The LaSalle Vipers were firing on all cylinders against the London Nationals, and when the final buzzer sounded Vipers emerged with a 5-0 win.

LaSalle was led by Dylan Denomme, who tallied one goal and one assist. Denomme scored 17:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 LaSalle. Matt Beaudoin provided the assist.

The Vipers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five London power plays.

LaSalle also got points from Ryan Speers, who also had one goal and one assist and Denomme, who also racked up one goal and one assist. LaSalle got a goal from Hunter Smith as well. More assists for LaSalle came via Eric Noel, who had one.

London forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 11 minors and two majors for 42 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 27 minutes per game the Nationals had been spending in the box. London did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Nationals put an average of three pucks into the net per game.

LaSalle's Jordan Dekort stopped 19 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Vipers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Taylor Edwards made 19 saves for London on 24 shots. The Nationals ran into disciplinary problems during the contest, and Steven Taylor was ejected from the game.
