The Buffalo Jr. Blades could not stop the Thorold Blackhawks' Mackenzie Mac Avoy, who tallied a hat trick in a 4-1 win.

Mac Avoy got on the scoresheet 8:28 into the first period. He then added goals at 7:32 into the third and at 18:04 into the third.

Thorold's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Buffalo power plays. The Blackhawks forced Buffalo goalie Cory Sorrento to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.
