The Owen Sound Greys fell behind early, and the Listowel Cyclones kept piling on the points on the way to a 9-4 victory. Jeff Bauer was all over the ice for Listowel, as he tallied four goals and one assist in the win. Bauer's first goal came 15:36 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:06 into the second, at 3:29 into the third, and at 11:49 into the third. Both teams had a hard time staying out of the box, and they combined for 18 penalties during the game. The Cyclones made Owen Sound's netminders to work without much rest, totaling 62 shots and forcing 53 saves. Jacob Keogh made 45 stops and Nicholas Caldwell made eight. The leading offender was Derek Haylow, who totaled seven minutes in penalty time with one minor and one major. The Greys were helped by Chris Gillman, who tallied one goal and one assist. Gillman scored 19:51 into the third period to make the score 9-4 Listowel. Doug Ardis picked up the assist. Owen Sound additionally got points from Ardis, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Zac Coulter, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Gillman, who also racked up one goal and one assist.
