In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the St. Catharines Falcons escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Port Colborne Pirates.

No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Johnson Andrews at 3:24 of the third period.

The Falcons excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Catharines could not produce up to it normal offensive output.
