Lambton Shores completes comeback, beats Chatham, 5-4

The Chatham Maroons could not hold down the Lambton Shores Predators, and Predators erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 5-4 win.

Lambton Shores never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Predators trailed 4-2 after a short handed goal by Chatham's Sam Studnicka at 14:40 in the second period. Lambton Shores knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Brett Thompson at 6:38 in the third period. The Predators scored the game winner at 18:37 in the third period on a goal by Thompson.

Adam Arseneault was all over the ice for Lambton Shores, as he tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Arseneault scored the first of his two goals at 3:58 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Corey Pawley picked up the assist. Arseneault's next tally made the score 5-4 Lambton Shores with 1:23 left in the third period. Pawley provided the assist.

The Predators kept the Maroons' goalie busy throughout the game, and Gianluca Palmieri made 28 saves on 33 shots.

Lambton Shores additionally got points from Thompson, who also registered two goals and one assist, Arseneault, who also tallied two goals and two assists, and Pawley, who also racked up one goal and four assists. In addition, Lambton Shores received assists from Brandon Butler, who had two.

Lambton Shores was unable to stop Chatham from sending pucks towards the net, and the Maroons eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Chatham was helped by Brennan Feasey, who had one goal and one assist. Feasey scored 3:02 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Chatham. Michael Verboom picked up the assist. Chatham also got points from Studnicka, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Feasey, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Marco Canzoneri also scored for Chatham. Other players who recorded assists for Chatham were Ian Jacobs, Evan Mascaro, and Eric Palazzolo, who contributed one each.

Brandon Campbell recorded 29 saves for the Predators. Lambton Shores incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Maroons incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
