Long Island had the 2-1 advantage with little over one minute remaining in the third period of the Jr. High Festival Championship game. TeamONE fought hard throughout the entire game, and controlled the puck for the majority of the third period. In the Long Island end, TeamONE drew a penalty shot when the net was dislodged, and scored to tie the game 2-2.

In a 10-minute overtime period, it took Long Island little over 3 minutes to generate a breakaway chance. That one chance was all they needed as they buried the puck to win in overtime 3-2 to become Hockey Night in Boston's 2013 Jr. High Festival Champions.
