CJFL DEFENSIVE ALL-CANADIAN WINNERS

The Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) is proud to announce the Defensive Jostens/CFL All-Canadians for the 2012 season.

The PFC’s Calgary Colts and BCFC’s Langley Rams each have two All-Canadians for most the CJFL.

In total there are 12 Defensive All-Canadians and one Return Specialist All-Canadian.

Defensive Line
Wilguens Deriveaux – St. Leonard Cougars – 19 tackles, 15 sacks*, 2 blocks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception
Evan Foster – Langley Rams – 21 tackles, 9.5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 interceptions
Donovan Dale – Saskatoon Hilltops
Steven Doege – Okanagan Sun – 34 tackles, 12 sacks,  2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries

Linebackers
Adam Grilj – Hamilton Hurricanes – 32 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 forced fumble
Adam Konar – Langley Rams – 16 tackles, 5 sacks, 4 fumble recoveries, 3 batted balls, 3 interceptions, 1 touchdown
Stephen Dereniwski – Calgary Colts – 30 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 1 interception, 1 touchdown

Defensive Backs
Neil Riley-Grant – Brampton Bears – 29 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 knock downs
Tremaine Apperley – Vancouver Island Raiders – 13 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 batted ball, 1 interception
Adam Laurensse – Edmonton Wildcats – 24 tackles, 4 knock downs, 8 interceptions*
Ian Barrie – London Beefeaters – 19 tackles, 2 blocks, 3 knock downs, 1 fumble recovery, 2 interceptions
Jermaine Gabriel – Calgary Colts – 28 tackles, 2 knock downs, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 4 interceptions

Return Specialist
Nick Downey – Langley Rams - 35 total returns, 884 return yards, six touchdowns* (1 kickoff, 5 punts), averaging 19.8 yards a return

The CJFL Major Award winners will be announced on Friday November 9, 2012 during the Canadian Bowl Banquet of Champions.

The 2012 Canadian Bowl will kick-off Saturday November 10, 2012 at 1:00pm at McLeod Stadium in Langley, BC.
