Rifles Ready For Training Camp

 The Winnipeg Rifles begin their quest for a Prairie Football Conference championship this coming weekend as training camp begins at Canad Inns Stadium.

 

The first order of business will be a player meeting on Thursday evening at 7pm at Canad Inns Stadium, followed by a testing session on Friday evening at 7pm, also at the stadium.

 

The on-field portion of camp begins with two-a-day practice sessions on both Saturday & Sunday. Here are the practice times for camp.

 

Saturday July 23: 9AM-11AM & 12 Noon-2PM

 

Sunday July 24:   9AM-11AM & 12 Noon-2PM

 

Mon. July 25-Wed. July 27 & Fri. July 29 7PM- 9PM

 

Saturday July 30: 9AM-11AM, 12 Noon-2PM

 

Tuesday August 2-Thursday August 4:  7PM

 

Friday August 5:  7PM at Rods Field

Saturday August 6: Walk Through 9AM Canad Inns Stadium

 

Sunday August 7: Exhibition Game vs. Regina 1PM in Brandon

 

For those fans & parents who are planning to attend the practice sessions this weekend, we are expecting extremely hot & humid conditions, so please bring as much water as you need to.

 

 

The Winnipeg Rifles Junior Football Club is one of twenty teams in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL). Teams are located across the country from Victoria to Montreal and compete for the Canadian Bowl, emblematic of the National Junior Championship. The CJFL provides an opportunity for post secondary school players aged 18-22 to compete at an elite level.
