Windsor Knolls had a dominant jayvee season, finishing unbeaten and capturing the programs' first Mid-Maryland tournament championship since at least 2014 (online results only go back to 2014-15). They had not even had a varsity or jayvee team advance to the finals in that span.

The Chesapeake division-winning Wolverines finished 19-0, 16-0 in regular season play and capped a 3-0 run in the tournament by upending previously unbeaten West Frederick 34-27 in the title game. That was only the second game all year for Windsor Knolls that was decided in single digits.

The championship game lived up to expectations! The stands were packed to capacity as both programs came out to support. West Frederick came out and scored two quick baskets within the first thirty seconds of play due to their resilient press. Both teams established strong defenses, and after the first quarter ended West Frederick held a one-point lead, 6-5. Windsor Knolls dug in and turned it up in the 2nd quarter scoring 14 points while holding WF to just 7, taking a 19-13 halftime lead.

In the second half, both teams went back and forth in the third quarter with key shots and strong defense. Windsor Knolls led 27-21 heading into the final quarter. WF cut the lead to three points early in the 4th quarter but the Lady Wolverines held off West Frederick with some clutch free throws and key baskets to secure their victory. West Frederick was led in scoring by Harper Chapman with 12 points. Grace Spurgers (10), Sariya Brandon (4) and Khalasia Taylor (1) followed.   Windsor Knolls,  Megan Crowell led in scoring with 10 points. Closely followed by Chloe Merriwether (9), Annabel Shelhorse (8), Rylie Motes (5) and Veda Pydiganta (2).
