Southampton’s Silwkowski Named as HCBL Pitcher of the Year
Date: Aug 14, 2025
Giacomo Travaglia (Fordham) was the top pitcher in the Southampton Breakers’ bullpen in 2025. Travaglia’s performance on the mound would be recognized by the HCBL’s head coaches, as Travaglia was named the 2025 HCBL Reliever of the Year.
The Glen Head, NY native appeared in eight games for the Breakers during the season and went 1-0 with a pair of saves and an Earned Run Average of 1.63.
The incoming Junior for the Rams struck out 21 batters in 22.0 innings pitched for Southampton. His strongest performance on the mound was in his first appearance of the season on June 17th in a 4-4 tie against the Sag Harbor Whalers, where Travaglia went four innings, striking out five batters while allowing only an unearned run on one hit.
Travaglia is the third Southampton Breaker to be named as the HCBL Reliever of the Year. Anthony Pisani (Rhode Island) took the award in 2009, while Jacob Pedersen (Adelphi) was the most recent Breakers pitcher to be named HCBL Reliever of the Year back in 2023.
