Varsity Scores: Friday, 4/12

Islip 7 - East End 6 (OT): Down 3-1 in the middle of the first half Islip was able to mount an impressive comeback with two goals from Anthony Marrazito. Luke Lafata and Anthony Pepe put Islip up 6-4, but East End stormed back with two late goals from Jake Strong. Goalies Dom Feiler and Corey McGovern turned aside a combined 46 shots before Thomas Ivers scored the winner with a minute left in overtime with a slick move to the net. The loss was East End's first since January 2023.

Carle Place 6 - College Point 4: Kota Bonna's two goals for Carle Place, and a goal each from Leach-Wilson and Bizzarro had the score tied at 2 going into the second half when Carle Place was able to pull away. Four different goal scorers proved to be the difference for the Cyclones. Goaltenders King and Marin traded spectacular efforts for a combined 24 saves. 

East End 7 - Farmingdale 3: Fill-in goalie Julian Marin did his best to keep East End at bay, but three goals from Ryan Standard, and two from Jake Strong put East End back into the win column in their Friday night double header. Michael Noone and Jack Rhein combined for five assists in the win.

Middle Country 10 - Farmingdale 4:  Daniel Sattler's second goal of the game shortened Middle Country's lead to 7-4, but the deeper Cougars were able to pull away thanks to stellar puck-moving efforts. All seven skaters had at least one point in the win.

Middle Country 11-  Smithtown 3: Russell Cuomo started the scoring with three goals, and Nathan Kircher kept it going with four of his own as the game moved on. Middle Country scored 21 goals in their Friday double header. Many of these featured full rink breakouts leading to easy tap-ins by the net.

POB / JFK 8 - Roslyn 0 - Forfeit

Roslyn 5 - Middle Country 3: Daniel Brown's second goal of the game put Middle Country up 3-1 in the second half, but Jordan Gross and Jacob Fischer led an impressive comeback by Roslyn. Fill-in goalie Michael Vevante was able to shine in the second half to give Roslyn a chance to comeback with 35 saves. 

POB / JFK 3 - Plainedge 2: Caleb Cohen's two POB goals put the Hawks up 2-0, but Matt Scaccia helped Plainedge even the game with two goals two minutes apart. The teams traded goals back-and-forth before Alex Klonsky was able to net the winner with under five minutes to play.

Varsity Scores: Sunday, 4/14

East End 11 - Middle Country 3: Middle Country led 3-1 and had several chances to extend their lead but East End was able to take over with 10 straight goals to take this one. Jack Rhein put up seven points, Dom Deluca had three goals and Ryan Standard added four.

Roslyn 13 - College Point 5: The teams traded goals to start the game, but Roslyn was able to rip this game open thanks to their patience and puck-moving. Roslyn broke the puck out all over the rink and was very impressive in this one. Jacob Pinsk had eight goals including an absolute snipe in the second half. 

Farmingdale 5 - Carle Place 4: An intense, tight game which featured just about everything saw back-and-forth goals until Farmingdale tied the game at 4 with Anthony Catanzarita's goal. Dante Scibelli's second goal of the game, and fifth of the weekend was the game winner. Colin Hoisik had three goals and an assist for the scrappy Cyclones. Farmingdale's Michael Vevante had 22 saves in the win.
