     The best teams in the SECHL return to MSU Ice Arena this weekend to crown a champion.  The Red Hawks picked up the #6 seed and will take on #3 Clarkson in the first round on Friday 2/9 at 6:20 pm.  MSU split the season series with Clarkson, winning the first game convincingly, 5-1.  Clarkson struck back in the second game, defeating the Red Hawks 4-3, although not without controversy, as the Red Hawks' net was visibly displaced when the go-ahead goal was scored by the Golden Knights late in the 3rd period.  Montclair has their shot at redeeming that day by knocking off the #3 seed and advancing to round two on Saturday.

     Army and Sacred Heart take the #1 and #2 seeds respectively, and will receive a bye in the first round.  #4 Sienna will play #5 Marist.  Should MSU advance, They would take on Army in the second round on Saturday while Sacred Heart will take on the winner of the Siena - Marist game.  Throw the record books out the window... The NEW season is about to start!
