Despite a determined effort, the Pirates were unable to find the back of the net, falling to the Stockton Ospreys with a final score of 3–0. The Ospreys capitalized on their opportunities, securing the win and extending their record to 2-2 in the division. Seton Hall struggled to put together 3 complete periods of hockey, and it seems that problem is why they are dropping games early in the season. Their record dips to 1-6-0, with a 1-4 in conference record. Seton Hall tends to be inconsistent, leading to a shutout loss again. While the defense worked hard to keep the game within reach, they couldn't prevent the Ospreys from capitalizing on key moments.
