After a strong finish in December and some rest over the holidays, the Jr. Hurricanes picked up where they left off with 2 wins at home this weekend. Hosting Bluewater Saturday afternoon, Emma Fulawka opened the scoring in the first period with a power play goal. Mackenzie Lothian would add a goal in the second period. Emma Fulawka would net her second of the game in the third period with Phoenix Richardson (PU) getting her first OWHL goal. Catherine Hodgins turned away 24/26 shots and the game would end 4-2.
Goals: Fulawka (2), Lothian, Richardson    Assists: Lamarche (2), Damiani (2), Lothian (2), Fantino (2)

The next morning the Jr. Hurricanes hosted the Southwest Wildcats for their final meeting of the season. Emise Grande opened the scoring in the first shift of the game off of a 2 on 1 pass from Maddy Nelson. Mississauga would have control of the rest of the game after a hat-trick from Kahlen Lamarche, a pair of goals from Taylor Delahey and a goal from Scarlett Nowakowski.
Goals: Grande, Lamarche (3), T. Delahey (2), Nowakowski   Assists: Nelson, Damiani (2), Fernandes (2), Lamarche, Nowakowski, Fulawka, Bullen, McCarthy

Jr. Hurricanes forward Kahlen Lamarche joined an elite group by scoring her 30th goal of the season. She joins just 3 other players who have accomplished that in program history - Theodora Imbrogno, Victoria Bach and Daryl Watts (who achieved it twice).

Next weekend, the Jr. Hurricanes will host Ridley College for a rare Saturday night home game.
