Pistol Shrimp Signature Beer Name is Revealed

(Peru, IL) 2.23.22 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp fans have spoken. The team’s new Tangled Roots Brewing Company signature Pistol Shrimp beer will be called “Short Hop.” The beer is a crisp golden ale, perfect for summer nights watching baseball.

Shrimp fan Hildi Grivetti of Peru submitted the suggestion “Short Hop” which was the resounding winner during online voting this week. The beer will be available at Pistol Shrimp games throughout the season, including Tangled Roots’ Thirsty Thursday Craft Beer Night on July 28th. Fans will also be able to purchase 6 packs of the Pistol Shrimp beer at selected local retail locations starting in May or order on tap at selected restaurants and bars throughout the Illinois Valley including Lone Buffalo in Ottawa.
