Voting Opens for Pistol Shrimp Beer Name!

(Peru, IL) 2.18.22 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp need your help to name their new signature beer by Tangled Roots Brewing Company. The beer will be a light, crisp golden ale, perfect for summer nights watching baseball.

Online and email fan suggestions have resulted a top 4 list of potential beer names: Short Hop, #FearTheBeer, Shrimply the Ale, Crustacean Hydration. Vote for your favorite by visiting PistolShrimpBaseball.com or clicking the link on your favorite social media platform.

Voting is open now through midnight Tuesday February 22. The new beer name will be announced on Thursday February 24. The beer will be available at Pistol Shrimp games throughout the season, including Tangled Roots’ Thirsty Thursday Craft Beer Night on July 28th. Fans will also be able to purchase 6 packs of the Pistol Shrimp beer at selected local retail locations starting in May or order on tap at selected restaurants and bars throughout the Illinois Valley including Lone Buffalo in Ottawa.
