Off-Season Update

Date:  Source: Okanagan Athletics

It’s been a couple of weeks since the Fall World Series ended at Elks stadium but the Athletics are still working hard and getting better in our off-season program. Here are a few updates and some things to look out for in the upcoming months:

  • The catchers have started their indoor sessions in the cages this week, working on their receiving and blocking with Coach Swanson in the cages.

  • With weekly updates, our players are continuing their strength training program and getting themselves stronger for the 2022 season.

  • Some of our seniors will be gearing up for some velocity training shortly led by Coach Johnson

  • Fundraisers: Our Survivor Football Pool fundraiser is down to its last five members. Stay tuned for the winner.

  • The winter schedule is being finalized and will be sent out soon. The practices will be taking place at the beginning of January at Elks Stadium in the cages and at the Rutland Bubble. There are multiple spots still open. If you are interested in signing up or if you have any questions, please contact Evan Bailey.

  • The Okanagan Athletics are looking to fill multiple coaching vacancies for the 2022 season. Applicants may submit their resumes to our Program Director Evan Bailey at:  evanbailey@shaw.ca
