Celebrity Golf Tournament Takes Place November 14 & 15

Date:  Source: Florida Collegiate Summer League

Have you ever imagined playing a round of golf with Gary Sheffield or Johnny Damon? Its possible at our Celebrity Golf Tournament! The Florida League is excited to announce that the 13th Annual Florida League Celebrity Golf Tournament will take place on Sunday & Monday, November 14-15 at the stunning Reunion Resort in Kissimmee Florida. The event will once again offer golfers and baseball fans the opportunity to mingle with impressive professional baseball celebrities from yesterday and today.

The annual golf tournament is one of two major fundraisers that the Florida League hosts each year.

Tournament festivities will kick off with a deluxe pairings party the evening of Sunday November 14th. The pairings party features heavy hors d'oeuvres, a live auction, a special guest speaker and the opportunity for guests to mingle with celebrities. It will take place in the ballroom at Reunion Resort.

On Monday November 15th, golfer registration and the practice area opens to guests at 10am. Prior to golf, lunch will be served on the patio near the driving range. The unforgettable round of golf will begin with a shot-gun start at 11:30am.

Reunion Resort is the only golf resort in the world that features three different golf courses designed by golf legends Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson. This year's event will take place on the Watson Course which offers rolling fairways that are firm and fast, strategically placed bunkers and speedy greens that will challenge golfers of all skill levels. A well-calculated plan of attack is required to score low on this design.

While playing a round of golf at this luxurious course is a treat in itself, each golf group is also joined by a baseball celebrity. We are proud to have the support of former World Series Champions, MVPs, CY Young Award winners, #1 overall draft picks and Rookie of the Year recipients.

The cost for this year's event is $750 for an individual or $3,000 for a foursome.
