CHILLICOTHE, Ohio - The Chillicothe Paints, presented by Adena Health System, had another successful season on and off the field in 2021, finishing the season 12 games over .500 and making the playoffs for a ninth time in 12 seasons in the Prospect League and, for the first time in those same 12 seasons, breaking the 60,000 attendance mark.

"We are grateful and humbled by the support we get from our incredible fans every season here in Chillicothe," said team president Bryan Wickline. "Breaking yet another attendance record is a testament to the hard work by our entire staff and shows the loyalty of our dedicated fans."

In 28 openings this recently-completed season, the Paints drew a franchise-record 62,599 fans to VA Memorial Stadium, greatly surpassing their high-water mark of 58,755 set in 2017 over 30 openings. The total is the second-highest in Prospect League history, just 273 fewer than league-newcomer and former Minor League Baseball member Clinton LumberKings.

An average of 2,236 fans attended Chillicothe Paints games in 2021, another franchise record, beating the previous mark of 2,037 set in 2019. It's the second-highest per-game average in the Prospect League's 12-season history.

"We are very proud to call southern Ohio the home of the Paints," Wickline added. "It's a special place that has been a pleasure to operate in for 28 seasons, we can't wait for the 29th to begin in late May of 2022."
