Pistol Shrimp Host an Action Packed Weekend at Veterans Memorial Park

(Peru, IL) 7.30.21 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp have a big weekend ahead as they host SOCU (Streator Onized Credit Union) Appreciation Night on Saturday and Little League Day on Sunday.

SOCU, the Pistol Shrimp’s Claw Chip sponsor, will be bringing their Bounce House on Saturday night and hosting face painting for Kids, both FREE. Enjoy a special green cocktail at the beer tent called the “Mo Money.” SOCU is also giving away a Lucky Number prize of a Family 4 Pack of Passes to Raging Waves Waterpark. Fan giveaways include stress balls and t-shirts. The Dog House in LaSalle is the food vendor. Saturday’s game begins at 7:05 pm against the Clinton Lumberkings.

Sunday is Little League Day and will feature a pregame on field parade to recognize and honor all the baseball and softball Little League teams in attendance. Parade is scheduled for 12:30 pm. To register your team, email NOAH@ Pistol Shrimp Baseball.com. One lucky team who registers will be chosen for bat duty that day. You can also enter our Facebook contest for a chance to win First Pitch honors for your Little Leaguer. Flo’s is the food vendor on Sunday. The game begins at 1:05 pm against Rex Baseball of Indiana.
