Halloween in July at the Pistol Shrimp’s Frightful Friday Game, presented by J A Happ Family Foundation

(Peru, IL) 7.14.21 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp and the J A Happ Family Foundation are hosting Halloween in July this Friday, July 16th. Come dressed for Halloween in a favorite costume!

SouthClaw Sam has a “Spooky Scavenger Hunt” for kids 12 and under. Get your kiddo a Pistol Shrimp Halloween treat bag and Scavenger Hunt card at the merch table. There’s a special prize for kids who fill up the card trick or treating at all the stations (even the opponents dugout!) and join SouthClaw on the field between the 2nd & 3rd innings to dance the Monster Mash.

The fun begins at 6 pm with a special performance by the Hocus Pocus Hags dancing group of witches. At 6:30 pm, all kids 12 and under are invited to march in a costume parade with the players on the field around the bases.

Our friends at Peru Federal Savings Bank will be at the park all night to help hand out candy to trick or treaters and are giving away a $100 cash prize for a Lucky Number Winner. Be sure to buy a new program for a chance to win as the winning number is drawn from the programs sold during each game!

The Beer tent is serving Witches’ Brew- a specialty cocktail only for Halloween night! Tony’s Butt Shack is the food vendor with their delicious food.

Game time is 7:05 pm vs. the Clinton LumberKings. Claw Chips are the exclusive currency used at the ballpark. You can pre-buy Claw Chips at any SOCU - Streator Onized Credit Union branch and skip the line at the field.
