The Catfish began the game with a pair of extra base hits, a leadoff triple from Andrew Stone, and a two-run home run from Diego Johnson to give the Catfish an early 2-0 lead. Burlington loaded the bases again in the third and got a RBI sac fly from Zane Zielinski to tie the game at 2-2.
Things stayed quiet the next few innings, before the Catfish used a big five run sixth to take control. The Catfish loaded the bases and got a two-run single from Jackson Campbell to take a 4-2 lead. The Bees then gave the Catfish three more runs on the two errors to allow Cape to take a 7-2 lead. Burlington responded in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run home run from Kevin Santiago, and Mason Land two-out RBI double in the seventh to get the Bees back within two.
