WISSINGER NAMED TO THE JBB ALL-AMERICAN TEAM

The junior college website The JBB has named Bees closer Reece Wissinger to its 2021 Division II Junior College All-American Team.   The Southeastern Community College hurler, and Burlington High School alum, was selected to the first-team.  Wissinger is headed into his sophomore season at for the Black Hawks.  In the just completed collegiate year he appeared in 15 games, posting a record of 2-0.  He had 8 saves. In 21 innings he allowed one run, 12 hits, 8 walks, and struck out 38.  He threw to the tune of a 0.43 earned run average.  Wissinger has established himself as the Bees’ closer in 2021.  He is carrying a 2-0 record in 7 appearances.  He has a save.  With a fastball that has reached 94 mph, the lanky righty has thrown 8.2 innings, during which he has been charged with no runs on just 4 hits.  He has struck out 20 of the 31 batters he has faced.
