Pistol Shrimp Salute the Military!

(Peru, IL) 6.16.21 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp show appreciation for our military personnel and veterans with help from their sponsor James Hardie this Sunday, June 20th.

Bring your Dad and the whole family to celebrate Father’s Day with the team and enjoy our first Sunday afternoon home game at Veterans Memorial Park in Peru, Illinois.

Pregame festivities begin at 12:30 pm to include presentation of the colors, on field recognition of all active duty, reserve, and veteran military members and the National Anthem played on electric guitar by Tom Symmes.

Tony’s Butt Shack will be providing the tasty food at the field so come hungry!

Extra hands are needed to hold flags from 11:30 am- 12:30 pm at the entrance of Veterans Park. If you would like to volunteer to help, please email: Info@PistolShrimpBaseball.com

Claw Chips are the exclusive currency used at the ballpark. You can pre-buy Claw Chips at any SOCU - Streator Onized Credit Union branch and skip the line at the field.

Game time is 1:05 pm vs. the Normal CornBelters and as always this season, admission is FREE. Keep an eye on the Pistol Shrimp social media for the most up to date information.

About the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp: The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are an amateur wood bat summer league baseball team, made up of top college players from around the country who aspire to a career in professional baseball! Established in 2019, the Pistol Shrimp are part of The Prospect League, a 16 team league that spans the mid-west from Iowa to Pennsylvania. The Pistol Shrimp are proud to call Veterans Memorial Park in Peru, Illinois our new home this summer.
