Pistol Shrimp Show Appreciation to First Responders This Tuesday

(Peru, IL) 6.15.21 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp have planned an exciting night of Safety Awareness and First Responder Appreciation at Veterans Memorial Park this Tuesday, June 15, hosted by their sponsors for the night Mr. Sparkles Auto Spa and Schweickert Ganassin Krzak Rundio, Attorneys at Law.

Bring the kids early to explore the fire trucks, EMS and police vehicles on display in the parking lot at 6:15 pm. The Smoke House will also be available courtesy of the Peru Fire Dept. At 6:30, the Life Flight helicopter will land so be there to watch and meet the crew!

Crystal Smith - Illinois Valley Regional Dispatcher will perform the National Anthem.

A K-9 demonstration will take place on the field between innings.

Flo’s to Go Food Truck will be on site with a tasty lineup of favorite foods for fans. Don’t forget that Claw Chips are the exclusive currency used at the field. You can pre-buy Claw Chips at any SOCU - Streator Onized Credit Union branch and skip the line at the field.

Game time is 7:05 pm vs. the Quincy Gems and as always this season, admission is FREE. The Pistol Shrimp face Quincy in back to back games on Tuesday First Responder Appreciation and again on Wednesday, June 16. Keep an eye on the Pistol Shrimp social media for the most up to date information.
