Pistol Shrimp Host Polish Heritage Night this Thursday!

(Peru, IL) 6.8.21 The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are excited to host Polish Heritage Night in the Illinois Valley, thanks to their sponsor DECOR Furniture in LaSalle this Thursday, June 10.

Come out to the field early to sing and dance along with our polka band “Rick Rzeszutko and The Music Company”, starting at 5:30 pm. Right Spice will be offering a Polish plate with fresh sausage, pierogi and a cabbage roll for 10 Claw Chips and sides of Pierogi for 5 Claw Chips. The Dog House will be there with various hot dog favorites as well.

You can pre-buy Claw Chips at any SOCU - Streator Onized Credit Union branch and skip the line at the field.

The Polka Band begins at 5:30 pm, game time is 7:05 pm vs. the Springfield Sliders.

About the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp: The Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp are an amateur wood bat summer league baseball team, made up of top college players from around the country who aspire to a career in professional baseball! Established in 2019, the Pistol Shrimp are part of The Prospect League, a 16 team league that spans the mid-west from Iowa to Pennsylvania. The Pistol Shrimp are proud to call Veterans Memorial Park in Peru, Illinois our new home this summer.
