The Bradford Bulls are proud to announce that Head Coach Curtis Warren will return for his second season as Head Coach of the team. Curtis joined the team in January 2019 as an Assistant Coach, before taking over as Head Coach for now President / GM Brandon Billie.

Curtis looks to build on his first season success after being named as one of the coaches for Team North in the GMHL All-star Game, and finishing the season with a 29-12-1 record. The Bulls were able to secure 3rd place in the power house North Division and were ranked 3rd in the final edition of the GMHL Team Power Rankings. Warren’s Bulls met the Bancroft Rockhounds in round one of the playoffs, defeating them in game three of the best of three round one series. Round two saw the Bulls meet their cross-town rivals the Bradford Rattlers. The Bulls and Rattlers put on quite the show infront of some big crowds at the Bob Fallis Sports Centre and the BWG Leisure Centre. The series would go the distance to a sudden death game five of the best of five second round series, seeing the Rattlers defeat the Bulls in heart breaking fashion.

Curtis is no stranger to being apart of strong hockey clubs as prior to coaching Jr hockey, Curtis spent time playing in the OHL, OJHL and PJCHL, having made it to the league finals three seperate times in three different leagues. The first was in the PJCHL with the Midland Flyers, then came the OJHL with the Aurora Tigers, and finally in the GMHL with the Temiscaming Titans. Although the first two visits were unsuccessful, the third time was a charm capturing the Russell Cup (GMHL), with Warren leading the league in goals (64), and team in points (114). Coincidentally enough Warren defeated General Manager of the Bulls, Brandon Billie in Game 7 of the GMHL Semi-Finals on route to the championship series. After an impressive Jr career, Warren was able to play two seasons of Professional hockey in the FPHL with the Berlin River Drivers and the Cornwall Nationals putting up a point per game average.

During his second season of Pro, Warren suffered a career ending injury and decided to shift his focus to coaching and help up and coming hockey players achieve their goals. With the contacts made over his career and knowledge of playing the game both Professionally and at various levels of Jr hockey, Warren is able to strongly relate to the players from both the staff and players aspect in this era. With the staff pair of both Coach Warren and GM Billie, the Bulls will continue to be a strong contender and a premier program to advance players to the next level. Welcome back to the Bull Pen Curtis !
