Date: Aug 13, 2012

The Midwest Collegiate League has announced its selections for July 11's All-Star Game at the Benedictine University Sports Complex (the home of the DuPage Hounds) in Lisle, Ill.
Six CrackerJacks will represent the Will County club for the game, including three pitchers and three position players.
Right-handers Matt Borens, Ben Gullo and Jack Rogalla have each garnered All-Star accolades for their efforts during the first 25 games of the season.
Borens, a native of Monee, Ill., and product of Eastern Illinois University, went 4-0 with a 2.16 ERA in his first six appearances. He made five starts and has allowed just 10 earned runs in his first 41.2 innings pitched. Borens has posted 33 strikeouts to just 13 walks.
Eastern Kentucky's Gullo heads to the All-Star game thanks to his 3-1 record and 2.01 ERA. In 40.1 innings, Gullo has allowed just 33 hits and nine earned runs. In addition, he has struck out 29 batters and walked just 19.
The final Will County pitcher headed to the 2012 MCL All-Star Game is Oak Park, Ill., native Jack Rogalla. Rogalla has picked up two wins and a save in six appearances. He leads the CrackerJacks in strikeouts (38) and currently holds a 2.40 ERA.
Daniel Nevares, Michael Vilardo and Mitch Elliott are the three position players that will be representing the Will County CrackerJacks at the 2012 MCL All-Star Game.
Through 25 games, Nevares, Will County's everyday shortstop, is tied for the team-lead in RBI (23) and games played. He also leads the team in doubles (eight), is second on the team in hits (34) and runs scored (25). Nevares currently holds a 0.340 batting average.
Vilardo heads to the All-Star game thanks in large part to his team-leading 14 stolen bases, 0.330 batting average and his 20 RBI, which places him in a tie for third on the team. Vilardo, Will County's primary second baseman, leads the MCL in runs scored (27).
Outfielder Mitch Elliott is the final CrackerJack position player headed to Lisle on Wednesday night. Elliott has done a little bit of everything for Will County this season. He is second in the league in batting average (0.382), tied for the team-lead in RBI (23) and games played (23), leads the CrackerJacks in hits (39), at bats (102) and is second on the team in stolen bases (12). Elliott has played both left field and center field for Will County this season.
In its first two years of existence, the Will County CrackerJacks have sent a total of 15 different players to MCL All-Star games. The club had nine representatives at the 2011 All-Star Game at Oil City Stadium in Whiting, Ind.
Rogalla, Borens, Gullo, Vilardo, Nevares and Elliott will participate on the MCL South Division All-Stars along with players from the Illinois Lincolns, Southland Vikings and Northwest Indiana Oilmen. Representatives from the South All-Stars will play against the North Division All-Stars, featuring players from the Rockford Foresters, Chicago Zephyrs and DuPage Hounds.
First pitch on Wednesday night in Lisle is slated for 7 p.m. Tickets for the game can be purchased through www.dupagehounds.com, the official website of the DuPage Hounds, the 2012 hosts of the MCL All-Star Game. Click here to purchase tickets.
