Luker to the Canadians!

The Canadian Firefighters are excited to announce that National Team Goaltender Bryce Luker was asked to replace NHL Superstar goaltender Carey Price of the Montreal Canadians last week when Price fell ill the morning before team practice. Luker who is a full time Ottawa Firefighter was on shift fighting a house fire in -30 weather when he received a call from his former goalie coach asking him if he could get to Montreal right away! Price had fallen ill and was unable to take part in team practice, The minor league goalies were on the road and not able to attend quickly. So Luker and Semi Pro goaltender from the area was the next option. The Canadian’s staff had a shooter tutor in net when Luker arrive 5 min after the team took to the ice. Luker held up well against the pro who commented that he was a challenge!

Luker has played for the Canadian Firefighters for the past 5 years recording 17 wins in 19 games and winning Gold twice in both Lethbridge and the International Games in 2016 where he went 5-0 only allowing 5 goals in 5 games. Luker players full time Seinor AAA and Semi Pro in Ontario.
