2018 B-FIT HEROS CUP BOSTON

The Canadian firefighters National Ice Hockey Club is excited to announce that team Alberta forward Mel Angelsted made his “Hollywood” curtain call this year in the second instalment of the movie franchise “Goon” a hockey movie about old school hockey fighting. Anglested a former NHL enforcer with the Washington Capitals had the chance to take is skills to the big screen in a fake fight of course! . Angelsted joined the Canadian Firefighters in 2015 and has been a valuable part of the roster since that time. Angelsted skates regularly in Fort McMurry in the Northern Oilmens League, where he also works as a firefighter for Suncore Energy in the Alberta oil sands.
Anglesteds appearance in Goon 2, is brief but a critical role. Mid way though the movie Angelsted takes on star actor Shawn William Scott in a line brawl, during a no sticks fighting old hockey event. The fake fight is a bloody battel that eventually Anglested will lose, lucky for Shawn William Scott this was only a fake fight. Anglested began filming in early 2016 and the movie hit the screens on September 1st 2017 in Canada and the United States.
It’s a major achievement for Angelsted, The CFFHC is proud to see its own members on the big screen.
