Date: Jul 8, 2019
MBA is very excited to announce that shortstop Bryce Toussaint will be continuing his baseball career at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, IL. Bryce is a senior at Arrowhead High School and will play his senior season this spring. Bryce is looking forward to continuing to play in college, and hopes to lead the Warhawks to a successful 2018 season. Here is what Bryce had to say about MBA and his plans for the future:
How has MBA helped you improve as a player?
"MBA has helped me in so many ways as a baseball player, but I think what was most effective was the 1 on 1 time spent with Dave and the other members of the MBA staff is what really changed my game for the better because of the attention to detail and instant feedback. I think working 1 on 1 with the coaches is what really go me to the next level"
What makes MBA different than other organizations?
"MBA feels like a family. I was an outsider coming into the program and within a week I felt like I'd been there my whole life. It's just unlike anything else"
Did playing with MBA this fall help you with recruiting?
"Playing with MBA this fall helped mainly because of the amount of travel. We were always traveling to different places which really allowed me to get in front of a lot of college coaches"
What was a highlight of your season at MBA?
"The first home run I hit this fall because many of my teammates didn't know I had that kind of power, so walking back to the dugout and seeing their faces was priceless"
What was the main factor in your college decision?
"The main factor in picking my college was my hunger for getting bigger and better. All my life I've wanted to to go to the best of the best and then reality started to set in and I knew that if I went to McHenry CC that I still had that option after two years"
What are planning on majoring in?
"Kinesiology"
Where do you see yourself after 2 years at JUCO?
"After my 2 years at McHenry I don't know exactly where I'll be, but I plan on hopefully going to a successful D1 program. After that I have no clue, the world is an open door"
