Those who work the hardest will make it the farthest. That may end up being David Graves.
It’s a rainy Tuesday and just so happens to be an off day for the Bones. But there are two Bones players who have shown up to SBA to get some extra reps and take some swings before Wednesday’s game. Graves is one of those players.
Those extra swings seem to be paying off. A 6’4” first baseman for the Bones, Graves is currently batting .387 for the season. This past spring at CVCC, he boasted a .375 batting average in 30 games, with 5 homeruns and 18 RBIs. His bat will be needed as the Bones fight for a threepeat this season. Is he feeling optimistic about the team’s chance of a third championship? Very. “I think we have the best chance of anybody for the threepeat this season.”
