2020 Golf Outing CANCELED

Keene, NH- The Keene State College Owls Men's Ice Hockey Club announced its fundraising plan for the upcoming National Tournament on Friday. The Owls have advanced the the ACHA Division 2 National Tournament for the 2nd consecutive season by defeating Northeastern University in the Regiional Championships last weekend in overtime. Representatives from the Northeast Region at the tournament, being held in Columbus, Ohio, are #1 William Paterson University, #2 New York University, #3 Keene State and #4 RPI.
The cost for buses, hotels, food, ice rental and other supplies/equipment will total almost $25,000. The team has been able to identify about $9,000 in savings from its regular budget this season and the players (who already paid more than $35,000 collectively to play this season) will pay another $11,000 for the tournament, leaving $5,000 of expenses to be covered through fundraising.
The Owls campus giving challenge started this morning and will run until the team leaves for Ohio on March 13th. Fundraising is coordinated through the College's Advancement Office so all gifts are tax deductible. The team has invited frineds, family and supporters to visit www.keene.edu/icehockey to make a donation to the team.
