The Spartans held their first "Pink in the Rink" night on Saturday, teaming up with Providence Community Health Foundation to support breast cancer awareness. Bellingham was once again only able to sneak one puck past Vlahovic on Saturday but, thanks to Alexander Olson’s 39-save shutout, Bellingham was able to come away with 2 points beating the Spartans 1-0.

The Spartans were back on top Sunday, picking up a 6-1 win. The Spartans scoring came from 5 different players which includes a new face, Jake Eubank who arrived in Medford at the beginning of the week. Vlahovic (stopping 20 of 21shots on Sunday) has appeared between the pipes in all nine of the Spartans games and ranks second in minutes played in the entire WSHL with 487.

The Southern Oregon Spartans took 4 out of a possible 6 points at home this weekend putting them in 2nd place in the division. The Spartan organization would like to thank Providence and all the fans for the support to raise awareness on Breast Cancer.

Southern Oregon Spartans travel to Vancouver, Washington to take on the Rangers in a 3 game series this upcoming weekend.
