The Southern Oregon Spartans are pleased to announce the re-signing of defenseman SEAN MCLAREN for the 2016/17 season.  Sean came to the Spartans January 22, 2016 from the LaRonge Ice Wolves Tier II Junior A team in the Canadian Junior Hockey League in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.  Sean a 6’1” 195lb right shot defenseman played 20 games last season and contributed in the Spartan playoff run.  A product of the Oakville Ontario Canada minor hockey system, Sean enters his third year of junior hockey.  A 20 year old with

aspirations of continuing his hockey career at the college level.  The Spartans will look for McLaren to continue to play a stay home, physical brand of hockey and provide leadership with the other experienced players on the roster.  Welcome back to the Spartans Sean.
